First-time parents readily accept the conventional wisdom that says pink is for girls and blue for boys, but this is absolutely not true when decorating today's nursery. You're in charge when deciding which colors to decorate with, whether it's persimmon, purple, or both.
A room can be designed around a particular color provided that you then choose different shades to provide contrast. Pre-School and kindergarten teachers know that all young children are drawn to bright red, for little boys, this color symbolizes red fire engines and race cars.
You can add more pizzazz to the nursery by adding red toys or decorations such as a non-skid rug that's just right for when your baby learns to crawl. The sky's the limit as far as decorating choices when parents decide to use red toile crib bedding. You are not limited to a single-color scheme; you can also combine a solid color with vivid similarly hued prints, and, just your luck, there are coordinated bedding packages which offer just the items with which you can do that.
The bedding sets for sale these days are an easy way to decorate beautifully for a reasonable price. Of course, the color red is associated with many different and exciting images, from small red Ferris wheels to tugboats, all of which are perfect for use of your child's baby bedding boys. Be sure to check labels when purchasing baby's crib sheets and accessories. The proper fit is important in keeping baby safe.
Mobiles and bumpers are great, the baby isn't old enough to pull the mobile down on himself and can't climb up on the bumper to get out of the crib. Remember that your little boy won't even be able to focus on the details of his environment for some months, but you'll notice things on the many visits you'll be making daily.
Baby bedding naturally cannot be comprised of soft cushions or puffy comforters, because these just should not be in the crib or tot bed of a little one. Consider additions such as large red hearts or huge red flowers–in other words anything you can think of to make the nursery a haven for you, too. And don't forget, a happy mom makes a happier baby, and a happier baby makes mom happy.
